A tid bit of Fallbrook History

Fallbrook is located just 26 miles east of the Pacific Ocean was founded in 1885 and while few buildings still exist from that era, the Late Victorian influence is definitely represented in the local architecture in the downtown area. Centrally located between Temecula and Oceanside, Fallbrook is a hop, skip and a jump from two unique and different locations. Not forgetting to mention that the historic Santa Fe Railroad ran through Fallbrook from 1881 to the early 1970s and even as late as 1963 a “special” Santa Fe train brought passengers to Fallbrook from Los Angeles for the annual Avocado Festival.
